Colonoscopy Prep by Internal Wellness Center

For the colonoscopy procedure to be successful your colon must be as clean as possible so as to not obscure the doctor’s ability to view the colon and identify any abnormalities.

Colonoscopy is used to visually examine your entire colon and rectum for abnormalities and generally considered the procedure of choice for colon cancer screening. Preparation for the examination directly affects how well your colon can be examined. If your colon isn’t completely empty at the time of the exam, parts of the colon may have been obscured. If so, abnormalities may not have been seen.

We believe that there is an easier alternative colon cleaning method to avoid going through the trying two-day process usually recommended for colonoscopy prep.

We also have consulted with Boston based gastroenterologists who find this method to be an acceptable alternative for their patients and have worked with them to develop our procedures. Along with the local physicians, we have followed the policy recommended by Danbury Hospital in Danbury CT.

Our Process:

We recommended two easy 45-minutes colon hydrotherapy sessions, which is proceeded by a few days of a colonoscopy friendly diet. This regimen prepares you for your colonoscopy fast and effortlessly without the discomforts of the usually recommended laxative method, which requires drinking large amounts of unpleasant tasting liquids and can lead to discomfort and unpredictable toilet requirements.

We will schedule your first session 24 - hours prior to your planned colonoscopy appointment. The second session will be done just one-to-two hours prior to your colonoscopy exam.
